![]() ![]() Select Home tab > click the arrow in Text Highlight Color icon and click the desired highlight color. In the Font group, click the Font Color command button.To change the color, click the menu triangle to the button's left and choose a color from the menu displayed. You can do this, but it may conflict with other uses of the Alt key (like accessing the ribbon tools from the keyboard). Removing highlighting: Select the highlighted text, then press Ctrl+Alt+H. In Microsoft Word, you can use a shortcut to select one sentence at a time. However, that shortcut applies the current default highlight color so you need to first select the desired color whereas the DocTools HighlightManager add-in lets you apply any highlight color without ever changing the default highlight color. The default color for highlighting is yellow, but you can change the color if you click the down-arrow to the right of the Highlight tool on the Formatting toolbar. In the Ribbon, on the Home tab, click the downward-pointing arrow next for the Text Highlight. This assigns the shortcut key to the Highlight command. In the opening Excel Options dialog box, please do as follows: (1) Select the Commands Not in the Ribbon from the Choose commands from drop down list (2) Click to highlight the Toggle Read Only in the commands list (3) Click the Add button. Click the arrow next to Text Highlight Color in the Font group. Word allows you to pick any of fifteen different colors. Use the highlight tool to choose the color and highlight the text in that color. ![]()
